Aiming for Outstanding in the Foundation Stage
A one day course for Early Years practitioners, Early Years teachers, head teachers, teachers and teaching assistants.

We will focus on:
- What does ‘outstanding’ look like?
- Creating a shared vision, and the significance of shared understandings and team work
- Building a learning community: passionate, reflective teachers: challenged motivated learners: an inspiring, creative curriculum ; dynamic self-evaluation.
- Parents as partners and the vital significance of home learning.
- Quality assurance: monitoring teaching, learning and progress;, effective feedback; using data and developing leadership at all levels.
- Governance: the importance of strategic direction, accountability and financial oversight.
- Leadership: What sort of people are outstanding leaders? What do they do? How do they do it?
Characteristics of Effective learning will be woven throughout the content of this course.
