Making the Learning Journey Work for You
A course for early years teachers and practitioners working in schools, nurseries and other under fives settings
A learning journey is a celebration of a child’s achievements and interests during the time they spend in a setting and shows the child’s learning and development. This is done through carefully chosen, dated and sequenced ,observations, annotated photographs, snapshots of significant achievements, comments from the child , parents and carers and contributions from other settings the child attends.
The Learning Journey also gives us evidence of children’s progress and learning that can be used to inform the EYFS profile at the end of the Reception Year as well as the EYFS progress check at age two. The Learning Journey also supports transitions between settings and schools.
